My 26-week Ironman Training Program kicked off on Monday. I did the following these past 3 days:
Monday: Swam 1.25 miles and ran 3 miles on AHS track. (9:30, 8:20 and 7:10 miles)
Tuesday: Biked 30 miles in 1:35 with last 10 miles as a negative split in 29:45.
Wednesday: Swam 1 mile and ran outside at Julifs Park for 30 minutes on grass.
The weather has been perfect and it is great to be outside doing stuff again after a long winter. I will probably be back inside on the bike tomorrow at the Y as it is suppose to rain. I feel like I haven't missed to much training since my last one 2 years ago. At this point it feels like the running will need the most work but I am confident it will come around much quicker than I think as it always had in the past.
